Beneath the shade of a makeshift shelter, dozens of eager young learners gather each day, determined to learn despite the odds. With corrugated sheets for a roof and wooden poles for walls, this open structure offers little protection from the scorching sun, heavy rains, or strong winds.

In Wayamba Community, education is a beacon of hope. Yet, without a proper classroom, children face constant interruptions to their learning. During rainy days, lessons stop. On hot afternoons, the heat becomes unbearable. Still, these children come proof of their dedication and the community’s belief in a brighter future.

NNCF is launching an urgent appeal to raise funds for the construction of a 3-unit classroom block. This facility will provide a safe, comfortable, and conducive learning environment for the children, ensuring uninterrupted education all year round.
